Beliefs

Statement of Beliefs

1.God lives forever in three persons — the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

2.God creates, sustains, rules, purchases and judges the world.

3.The whole Bible - Old and New Testaments are the written Word of God—fully trustworthy for faith and conduct.

4.The dignity of all people, made male and female in God's image to love, be holy and care for creation, yet corrupted by sin, which makes us deserving God’s anger and judgement.

5.God loved this world so much that to gave us His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ — born of the virgin Mary; Jesus is truly God and truly human, yet faultless.

6.Christ died in our place on the cross of Calvary: paying the penalty of sin and defeating evil, so reconciling us with God.

7.Jesus arose from the dead, paving the way for our resurrection; He ascended into heaven to reign. He is the only Saviour of the world.

8.Sinners can only be right with God by the grace of God through turning to God and trusting in Jesus Christ.

9.The Holy Spirit leads us back to God, unites us with Jesus Christ through new birth, empowers us to follow Jesus and enables us to share Him with others.

10.The Church, the body of Christ both local and global, is enabled by the Holy Spirit to represent the Lord Jesus to our world.

11.The Lord Jesus Christ will return again to judge our world. Christians will be with Him in heaven forever and non-Christians will be lost in hell forever. He will establish a new heaven and new earth.

The Three “B’s”

We believe that everyone within reach of our church ‘belongs’ and is most welcome to make us their spiritual home. Our aim is to turn everyone who ‘belongs’ into those who also believe in our Lord Jesus Christ. Following belief we work together to encourage behaviour that adequately represents Jesus Christ in our daily lives and to everyone we meet.
