Welcome to Oasis Christian Centre

We are a family Church open to everyone interested in enquiring about the Christian faith and way of life. Our welcome is warm and openhearted. We are Evangelical and Pentecostal and our worship is joyful and sincere. The Livingston church was founded in 1986 by Rev. John Glass and his wife Marilyn when he was the Scottish Regional Superintendent . Since 2007 we have had the privilege of having Pastor John Henson and his wife Clare leading our church and looking after our spiritual welfare.

Can You Help?

This picture is of a recent widow in Romania, her 9 children and her pastor. The widow's husband died of a heart-attack whilst cutting wood for his family - leaving his family without a bread-winner nor state benefits. They are friends of the Marcocis. If you feel led to support this family with a financial gift or ongoing gifts, or if you'd like to pay Estera for some of her delicious baking, please see Ion or Estera - or Pastor John.

From the Pastor

Passages to reflect on this week:

Acts 4: 8-14
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marvelled. And they realised that they had been with Jesus. And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
Romans 8:28,29
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
